Welcome Brothers and Sisters:

We bless you in the name of the Lord! Thank you for visiting our website and finding out more about our Church Family. In these times of economic uncertainty, the one true constant is Christ. He is “the same, yesterday, today and forever” and for that we are all less stressed and more trusting.

Sherman Memorial is a congregation of believers who know the power of prayer, the importance of loving family and friends and the support of the Body of Christ. We encourage you to come share in one of our worship services. We know that you will find comfort, uplift and support for your life.

Sherman Memorial is unashamedly “old school COGIC” where foot stomping, hand clapping, tongue talking and “running for Jesus” are acceptable and highly expected. We believe that despite our circumstances we have a “right” to praise the Lord. And we do!

Our foundation is Church of God in Christ and our focus is Kingdom Building. Our preaching and worship is Bible based, spirit-led and spirit filled. Our singing is uplifting and optimistic. Our ministries are Christ-centered and relevant. Our congregation is warm, loving and supportive. Our Pastor, Bishop C. E. Anderson, Sr. and First Lady Barbara Ann Anderson, are experienced, family-oriented, loving and “one of a kind”. Our worship environment is open and “pressure free”. And our doors hang on “welcome hinges”.

If you seek a Church home…our arms are open. If you seek a place of rest and restoration…our hearts are full of love. If you are broken and spiritually weary…we are here to comfort and care. And if you just need a friend or a prayer partner…our shoulders are strong and “our lips are sealed”.

If this sounds like worship you and your family would like to experience… Join us at Sherman Memorial - Sundays at 11:15 AM and 7:00 PM and Thursday evening Bible Study at 7:00 PM and Pastoral Instruction at 8:00 PM.

Our motto is: “One trip to Sherman Memorial…and your life will never be the same”. Come see for yourself and let the Power of the Holy Ghost fall afresh on you! We’re holding a seat just for you and your family!

In His Service,
The Congregation of Sherman Memorial
